James Elstob

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

He has over 20 years of information technology and business development experience and has completed a Project Management MBA through Edinburgh Business School and is now one of the primary stakeholders of Getlocal Africa (Pty) Ltd. James loves golf, fishing, hiking and is also a local on our platform, so to find the best golf courses or fishing spots in South Africa ask James for some advice!

Brandon Clack

Digital Marketing Consultant

Brandon is a graduate from Cardiff Metropolitan University. He graduated with a BA Honours degree in International Tourism and Events management. He is passionate about travel and how tourism effects host communities/ countries. Throughout his degree he worked with various businesses in related fields from marketing and business development to further his knowledge within the industry. As an avid athlete he joined the University athletics team and ran for Cardiff Met University. After graduating he decided to return to South Africa to promote SA tourism by using his degree, knowledge and experience.

Barry Saxton

Strategy and Business Development Advisor​

Barry Saxton, PMD (Harvard) has extensive business experience in starting up and running large multinational companies, recently serving as Marketing Director of Logistics of Barloworld Limited. Barry was also a founder and CEO of UTI & Sun Couriers. He also has extensive experience in the tourism industry having chaired The Gundelfingers Group for 5 years based out of Vienna Austria.

Thandiwe Dube

Booking and Administration Consultant​

With a BA Honors Degree in Development Studies, Thandi has 6 years’ experience in the Tourism Industry. Her career began at a renowned Travel Agency giving her the right experience to join the Getlocal Africa team as a Booking and Administration Consultant that our clients love. During her spare time she loves doing Voluntary work because she believes in what it takes to make a difference in someone’s life. Thandi loves giving back to her community. She is passionate about what she does and is always looking forward to challenging herself and embracing new opportunities in the travel and technology industry.

Mischka Kruger

UX/UI Designer​

Mischka is a UX/UI Designer at Getlocal Africa. She is an end-to-end designer who loves solving challenging problems, curious by nature, she loves connecting with and understanding people. In-depth user research and brainstorming solutions are her forte and collaboration and teamwork is what she strives for. During her studies in Child Phycology, she found herself needing a change and a creative outlet of herself. Mischka designed her first website (and learned herself how to code) by reverse-engineering sites she admired. She spent a lot of time doing online courses, attending webinars, reading blogs and practising on free source-code editors. During her free time, Mischka loves to lose track of time while travelling, curled up in a blanket with a good book or spending time with family.

Leandi Streeter

Project Management Office

Leandi has over 16 years’ experience in marketing communications, business development, business strategy, innovation and project management as a consultant, business owner and Snr Management team member. She has worked in a diverse range of high growth, high impact sectors and has travelled extensively. She loves connecting with people, having real conversations, problem solving and creating solutions. Her favourite thing is building businesses and helping people to thrive while activating creative ideas and processes. At Getlocal Solutions she holds the PMO (Project Management Office) and loves hogging the white board space. She has an MBA from GIBS and likes to braai and break bread with special humans.

Vincent Oosthuizen

Architecture and Integrations IT Manager​

Vincent is an energetic, analytical and driven team member with an IT skill set and experience combination that enables him to execute his assignments like a Ninja, regardless of the complexity of the project. He can roundhouse kick a cyber security solution or be the architect a complex technology solution, in no time. He is a valuable Senior team member who loves to Braai - as much as possible – and enjoys watching rugby. Drinking Coca-Cola during works hours, is one of his productivity super weapons.

Danika Wolmarans

Jnr UX/UI Designer

Danika is a UX/UI Designer at Getlocal with a passion for graphic design. She has a B.Ed degree in Foundation Phase Education and has over 6 years’ experience as an educator. Danika has a hankering for a creative outlet and welcomes new challenges. She is passionate about travelling and has lived overseas for a year. Danika enjoys getting to know people and wants to help develop their unique style. In her spare time, Danika enjoys spending time with her friends at social events, playing video games, and learning new skills.

Sarah Robertson

Content Writer

An extensively published travel writer, Sarah Robertson has visited more than 30 countries around the world. She has a specialized understanding of travel industry marketing requirements, having run her own adventure operator and held senior sales and marketing management roles for international airlines and tour operators. She holds a BCom in Marketing and Management and a Diploma in Travel and Tourism.

As a journalist Sarah has written for Travel News, Tourism Update, Leading Venues and Travel Industry Review. She currently runs a webcast series and has produced short-term travel shows for both Hot FM and Ballz Visual Radio. Sarah is an enthusiastic hiker and mountain biker. In her free time she can generally be found playing with her four-year-old in the tree-house at the bottom of the garden or with her nose buried in a good book.

Michael Job


Mike is also the Siyafunda Projects Director and qualified FGASA and Trails guide. He completed his MBA through Edinburgh Business School in 2011 and holds a B.Soc decgree. Mike believes that wildlife conservation efforts require dedication to the fauna and flora and the ability to manage conservation effectively. He has extensive experience in the Tourism sector and has a great sense of humour.
